MCC’s Children’s Ministry “The Road” hosts a 10-week Summer Internship program for a student who is interested in Children’s Ministry or Ministry in general. The program begins the last week of May and concludes the first week of August. The internship is intended for any student currently attending college, or high school students entering 12th grade in the Fall. The internship program is also intended for, but is not limited to, those students who are members of MCC.
Goals:
The Student Intern will learn and experience the knowledge, tasks, and skills that support a healthy, growing Children’s and Family Ministry.
The Student Intern will practice and develop their leadership, communication, teaching, and people skills.
They will experience and execute building and leading a team, and creating an environment that is conducive to and maximizes teamwork.
He or she will learn about the developmental needs of children and their families, and gain experience in leading, teaching, and working with children.
The Student Intern will have one of the most fun and memorable summers ever!
Requirements:
Student must be currently enrolled in college or a high school student of at least 16 years of age and entering 12th grade in the Fall.
Student should carry a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have an expressed interest in Children’s Ministry or General Ministry.
Student must be available to attend Summer Camp (late May – Early June), Vacation Bible School, and be in the office at least 20 hours per week, including being at church on Sunday mornings and special weekday events on Summer calendar.
Student must sign and comply with MCC’s Children’s Ministry “Statement of Commitment”.
